Freeport – SMS promotion |

The Challenge
- To drive footfall to Freeport's newest European Designer Outlet Village in Gothenburg, Sweden.
- To utilise an existing mobile phone number database collected from an online questionnaire.
The Solution
- An interactive voice call explaining the benefits of Freeport and an SMS promotion.
- Following call, an SMS message was sent containing the name of one of the designer brands available at Freeport.
- Shoppers had to take their mobile phone to Freeport within two weeks to see if the brand name on their phone matched the one printed on a promotional poster at the site.
- If they matched, they won 15,000 Kroner (£1,000).
- Each message was uniquely coded to prevent fraud.
The Outcome
- 97% of calls were connected. 8% of recipients visited Freeport within 48 hours to check whether they were a winner.
